At their latest appointment on December 30th, Cara weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and Nora weighed 9 lbs 14 oz. Our little chunkers! They're starting to stay awake for longer periods now and are gaining head control, which is fun. They hate being on their tummies unless they're on us, so that's when they get their tummy time. Both of them can track items now with their eyes and they follow the sounds of our voices. It's so fun seeing them grow and get stronger, but it's also sad that our little newborns have grown so much. They've outgrown their newborn clothing already and are in 0-3 clothes now.
Cara has had a hard time lately with reflux, poor baby. She cries and cries during the day and spits up most of what she eats. We tried Prilosec, which didn't help, and right now we're trying Pepcid. Hopefully we'll find something that helps her soon.
Cara's eyes are still blue and she still has a lot of blonde hair everywhere but right on top of her head! Nora's eyes are darker; sometimes they look gray, sometimes hazel or green. She's darker complected, so I think her eyes will end up being hazel or brown. What little hair she has is looking kind of red. I hope it stays red! :)
