Eviction Date Set

Since I'm in the hospital just waiting as long as we can with preeclampsia, my doctor gave me an end date to shoot for. My c-section is scheduled for Monday morning at 8:30. We're very excited about meeting the twins, and can hardly believe they'll be here in just a few days!

They'll be born at 35 weeks, 6 days, and based on their last ultrasound measurements, they should be good sizes. Since baby B is the much larger one, a scheduled c-section was advised. And that will be fine - we just want them here safely.

So far my blood pressure has stayed manageable and my labwork each morning to check for preeclampsia-related problems has been good, so I think we'll make it to Monday. If we didn't already have this scheduled, I bet I'd go into labor on my own over the next week. I've started getting a lot of contractions and had a few monitoring periods where they're just 2 minutes apart. The babies just need to hold out a few more days!

Hopefully they won't need any time in the NICU, but there is a good chance they'll have to spend a little time in there based on their gestational age. We'll have to wait and see! We're very excited to meet the little munchkins.
