My doctors are still deciding when they will take the babies if I don't go into labor on my own or have any problems with my blood pressure or organs in distress. It sounds like 36 weeks will be the latest they'd take them, which is just a little over a week away. Yay! We're very excited to meet them.
35 weeks tomorrow:
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds. Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
We last had an ultrasound on Thursday and it sounds like one of our babies is measuring pretty big for its gestational age. They estimated one to weigh about 5 1/2 pounds, and the other at 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Wow, little chubster! They get the hiccups all the time now, so they're definitely practicing their breathing in there.
