Halfway Mark!

Tomorrow marks 20 weeks, the halfway point of a typical pregnancy. In all likelihood, the twins will arrive sooner, which means I'm more than halfway done. Exciting! Here's how the babies are growing this week:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
They're definitely growing a lot now. We visited my grandma this weekend, so the twins had lots of yummy, healthy food. Well, excluding the chocolate cake... but I'm sure they enjoyed that too! Grandma gave them their first stuffed animals, too - two very cute teddy bears, complete with their own bear books.

The nursery is still a work in progress. Kirby put together their dresser last week and he's still working on a piece of art for their room. Here's a better view of the wall color:

I also made a mobile for their room last week to hang above the changing pad on the dresser. I'm not really very crafty, but hopefully the babies won't mind.

More pictures to come as things come together!

Whatever. You are so crafty. This mobile looks terrific! I like all the ribbons. They compliment the color scheme nicely. Well done Jess!
